Getting Things Done: In College

I am a freshman in college, and i have this one class, “Myth, Rituals, and Mysticism”, that is super awesome and super cool. The teacher is just fantastic and what you learn blows your mind.

A few weeks ago, we were told we were going to have a project on any subject of ancient religions we could find. Or ritual or any of that stuff. I decided I wanted to do Greek Mythology, because I know so much about it and love that topic so much. I went in front of the class and told any potential group members my knowledge of Greek Mythology.

MISTAKE.

You see, A group of nice girls came up and decided to be my partners in helping me finish the project. At this point I considered myself the team leader, since I ut the group together.

UNFORTUNATELY, these girls took charge and the first words out of their mouth was “Lets do this paper MLA style”.

Now, I have no personal problem with doing my paper MLA style, it’s when you have perfectionists in the house that you really start to friking lose your mind.

Here I am, writing my paper happily and posting my bibliography in the bottom of the paper, even putting down my citations. What I didn’t know was the in-text citatoins.

These polished girls wanted me to put in-text citations for everything I had gotten from on outside source. ALL OF IT. Again, it’s not a big problem for me to change this, it’s when you believe the teacher will actually give a dam when I started to lose my cannon.

So here’s my message. NEVER SPEAK WHAT YOU KNOW, UNTIL YOU’RE AMONGST FRIENDS. EVER. DON’T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT BUSTER!
